Thank you very much
for using the Fukuoka Tower home page on this occasion.
A population of 1.42 million and an area of 340 km2, designated
as the National Genkai Sea Park, Fukuoka with its abundant nature
has been a prosperous city for international exchange, opening
its gates to the Asian continent from ancient times.
Closer to Soul and Busang than Tokyo, Fukuoka has a large number
of international flights to Asia and the Pacific.
The center of politics, culture and the economy of Kyushu, Fukuoka
is also surrounded by locations of abundant nature such as 'Umi
no nakamichi' and ' Shikanoshima'. It is a beautiful city with
plenty of vitality.
Representing this city of ours is the Waterfront area 'Seaside
Momochi'. Fukuoka Tower, located at the center of this area was
built in 1989 as a monument of the Asian Pacific Expo (Yokatopia),
an event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the enforcement
of the Fukuoka City organization.
The 234m high tower is covered with 8000 half mirrors and is the
tallest seaside tower in Japan. You will be able to see the urban
functions, nature and culture of Fukuoka city at once from the
observation room at 123m.
Please drop by when you come to Fukuoka city. We sincerely look
forward to your visit.

Fukuoka Tower
Observation Room-a marvellous 360 degree panoramic view.
It takes approximately 70 seconds by elevator to the observation
room at 123m above ground level, an observation room with a marvellous
360 degree panoramic view. On top of being able to view sites of
Fukuoka city, such as Hakata wharf and Sefuri Mountain, you can
enjoy the gradually changing colours of the blue sky as night falls.
